We welcome you to Greta Holiday Cottage our self catering cottage, with its contemporary stylish accommodation with that extra homely touch. Greta self catering cottage is located close to the banks of the River Greta, one of the three rivers that flow through Ingleton.  This self catering cottage has lovely views of the Grade II listed railway viaduct with its impressive ten arches, it is the perfect get away offering luxury and relaxation. Greta Cottage is on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of Natural Outstanding Beauty with its breathtaking views of unspoilt countryside.

 

After a day sampling the many activities on offer in and around Ingleton, you know you are returning to this cosy charming character cottage to relax, make a meal and enjoy those special times with family and friends. Enjoy a drink outside in the garden area or snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove.

 

Greta Cottage is a gorgeous tastefully renovated stone built cottage in a peaceful location. Free parking is available opposite the cottage.  Downstairs the cottage is a spacious open plan design with a dining area, lounge with wood burning stove and modern fully equipped kitchen.  There is a television and DVD player a selection of board games along with a music system to keep you entertained.

 

The cottage is conveniently located close to the old village centre of Ingleton with its inns, character shops, cafés and restaurants. For the more active visitors Greta Cottage is in the ideal location for tackling the Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks Challenge, a 26 mile circular walk taking in the mountain summits of Penyghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. There is  great cycling, mountain biking, caving and walks including the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail with its many cascading waterfalls. Ingleton has a lovely open air heated swimming pool (seasonal) a climbing wall and a fantastic children play park. For those wanting a more leisurely break there are many scenic drives through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside and villages.

Directions to Greta Holiday Cottage

Ingleton is only 30 mins from junction 34 off the M6 motorway.

Off junction 34, turn left onto A683 towards Kirkby Lonsdale.

Continue on A683 for 10 miles. At the hump bridge turn right onto A687 towards Ingleton.

Continue on A687 for 5 miles. At the T junction turn right onto A65.

As you come into Ingleton on the A65 you will pass Country Harvest on your right.

Shortly after you will enter a 40mph speed zone and travel over a metal bridge.

After this take the first left signposted Ingleton village (Main Street).

Continue for approx. 300m. the road will narrow, turn left, downhill, following the signs for Ingleton Pottery (past the Top Club).

At the bottom of the hill, pass the pottery on your left then pass under the viaduct.

Parking is available in the lay by, on the left, next to the river. The cottage is directly opposite the river and lay by.

 

If however, you are travelling to Ingleton from the East (Leeds/ Skipton) please follow these directions:

As you come into Ingleton on the A65 you will enter a 40mph speed zone.

You will see a garage on your left. Opposite there is a right hand turning/ fork towards Ingleton village. Turn right here (Laundry Lane).

Keep on this road (pass through the crossroads) approx. 500m until you reach a T junction.

Turn right towards Ingleton village. Continue for approx. 100m. the road will narrow, turn left, downhill, following the signs for Ingleton Pottery (past the Top Club).

 At the bottom of the hill, pass the pottery on your left then pass under the viaduct.

Parking is available in the lay by, on the left, next to the river. The cottage is directly opposite the river and lay by.
